Moto’s square Android phone to be called Motorola Twist; specs show up

Earlier today, we’ve seen an unusual Motorola Android phone without knowing its name and without having too many details about its specs.

Luckily, Android-France has published a leaked screenshot that suggest the handset measures 67 x 67 x 15.8 mm (when closed) and it’s called Motorola Twist (yup, just like Verizon’s Nokia Twist).

As for the phone’s features, these apparently include: 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display, quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA (850/1900) connectivity, Android 2.1, MotoBlur 1.5, Wi-Fi, GPS, HTML browsers with multi-touch, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headset jack, 3MP camera, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, 700Mhz TI OMAP processor, and MicroSD card support (up to 32GB).

The Motorola Twist should be available starting June 10. Judging by the HSDPA bands, the phone will be launched by AT&T – but, of course, we can’t confirm this yet.
